Abstract

Reports a case of a 42-yr-old male schizophrenic in whom, after an overdose of alpha-methyldopa, there was a dramatic and apparently complete resolution of psychotic symptomatology, followed after a few weeks by a sudden return of psychosis. The symptom-free period suggests some value in exploring further a role for alpha-methyldopa in the treatment of some schizophrenics.
