Abstract

It is very useful if the magnetic behavior of a material can be precisely described in advance, given the composition, structure and processing history. Not only can the design cycle based on “trial and error” iteration be reduced and replaced with materials design from first principles, but also materials with higher performance can be achieved at a lower cost and with less effort if materials scientists are able to employ viable computer-aided design (CAD) software modeling tools.
