Abstract
One final thought concerns the dichotomy of detection methods used at radio and optical wavelengths. We are told-and these days I suppose indisputable evidence can be cited-that radio and light really are one and the same electromagnetic entity, the only difference being some orders of magnitude difference in wavelength. But it seems we do not use my Great Equation to detect light; we essentially harness quantum mechanics. As such, I rather think Schroedinger's deserves a mention under the heading of “Great Equations.”
