Abstract
Why does proven knowledge work in one setting and not in another? Reasons: Causal ambiguity; Unproven knowledge; Motivation of source; Credibility of source; Recipient Motivation; Recipient absorptive capacity. In Healthcare, recipient absorptive capacity is a major factor. Predicting sticky knowledge: Initiation stickiness; Implementation Stickiness; Ramp-up stickiness; Integration Stickiness.
