Abstract
Organizational culture is a much mis-understood concept. This article discusses some common misconceptions of what culture is and what it is not. Through the application of Martin’s (1992) three perspectives on organizational culture to three case study companies, this article argues that an individual's perspective on organizational culture is related to that individual’s hierarchical position. These findings lead to the development and discussion of a series of pervasive implications and enable the presentation of an agenda for executives.
