Abstract
Business-in-a-Box (BiB) is part of a community-based development programme in rural Pakistan which has led to some transformative and capacity building actions. Initiated by the non-governmental Rural Support Programme Network, the model closely aligns with the approach relating social innovation for human and community development to three key aspects: satisfaction of basic human needs; improving social relations; and, socio-political empowerment.
