Abstract

This chapter draws upon my previous work to explore the extent to which Law and Religion studies have and should engage with a sociological approach. It revisits and critiques Norman Doe’s call for a ‘sociology of law on religion’ and notes a shift in the Sociology of Law found in Roger Cotterrell’s work from seeing sociology as a discipline to understanding it as a transdisciplinary critique.
