Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: Primary objectives: To assess the effects of self‐management interventions for adults living with HIV in improving quality of life, psychological health outcomes, and health status. Secondary objectives: 1. To determine the effect of self‐management programs on activity levels, health care utilisation, risk‐taking behaviour, and experience of symptoms 2. To compare the effectiveness of different types of programmes, including delivery by lay person or healthcare professional.
