Abstract

The report provides a synthesis of the evidence and discusses areas and considerations for further development, in the context of the Curriculum for Wales from 2022. These include: further research on AfL to support learners’ plurilingualism and cross-linguistic skills, and to support lesser used languages examining the need for professional learning opportunities for teachers to develop AfL practice in relation to language learning sourcing further evidence on the role of language proficiency in the delivery of AfL strategies considering learners’ ideas about ways of assessing their own language learning
