Abstract
Compares international and national approaches to electronic bills of lading, with reference to the use of electronic bills of lading from a sociological perspective, and argues that the regulation of electronic bills of lading should be possible at the national level using distributed ledger technology and following the UK approach to proving possession using electronic documents.
