Abstract
Identifying the Colombian comic book superhero is not an easy task. The lack of a true comic book industry in the country makes it challenging to track down its heroes. Nevertheless, looking into the forgotten pages of Colombian comics, we can find hints of past heroes and long-lost adventures. This chapter traces the evolving depictions and definitions of Colombian national identity across three superhero comics: Makú, Tukano, and Zambo Dendé.
