Abstract
This IoT Project Workbook is designed to assist undergraduate and postgraduate students in systematically organizing, designing, and developing complex IoT systems. Complementing core lessons—such as architecture, sensing and actuation, networking and communication, data management and analytics, privacy and security, human factors and interaction, and design strategies and prototyping—this workbook offers optional yet highly effective exercises and workshops. By closely aligning with the module structure, it helps learners streamline their processes, refine their ideas, and troubleshoot issues more efficiently. Drawing on a diverse range of tools and techniques, each workshop highlights relevant lessons and encourages adaptability in real-world scenarios. While the materials are integrated into a cohesive set of activities, the inclusion of independently developed resources fosters exposure to multiple approaches. Learners are encouraged to experiment, innovate, and adapt these materials according to their unique project requirements. Through this process, the workbook supports the development of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills, ensuring a comprehensive and interactive IoT learning experience.
