Abstract
This concluding chapter draws together the previous chapters to explore the possible transformational effects that centring legal history could have upon legal education. It illustrates this by exploring a number of potential futures that could occur as a result of subverting the current curriculum through a historical lens. The use of fiction in this chapter, in sketching alternative future worlds, will underline that the value of looking to the past has much in common with speculating about the future: the different worlds shown by both history and science fiction shows us different solutions, voices and questions. They expose the limits imposed by our presentist assumptions and liberate us.
