Abstract

The rapid popularization of electric vehicles has dramatically amplified the interaction between transportation and power network, whose random charging behavior has also significantly changed the load's spatiotemporal distribution. However, a massive amount of flexibility resources can be released after guiding electric vehicles charging orderly. In this connection, this paper proposes a two-stage flexibility provision framework in coupled power-transportation network considering that distribution system operator (DSO) can provide services to transmission system operator (TSO). More specifically, the TSO-DSO coordinated dispatching model for provision of flexibility is divided into three sub models: TSO-organized market clearing in transmission network, DSO-directed market clearing in distribution network, and optimization operations of charging station managed by charging station operator (CSO). Additionally, in an effort to protect stakeholders' information privacy, an adaptive alternating direction method of multipliers (A-ADMM) algorithm is adopted for distributed optimization. The performance of the proposed model and solution method is analyzed through T30-D42-R32 and T118–2 × D-2 × R test systems, the results validate its effectiveness.
