Abstract

As much as 13% of all products are significantly or critically damaged by the time they reach the shelf. By understanding the supply chain end-to-end we can improve the situation. Manufacturers and retailers have worked together in many areas to reduce total levels of shrinkage. However, new research suggests that so far they have been unaware of high levels of packaging damage.
