Abstract

A discussion of the inter-relationship between the study of literary sources of the Anglo-Saxon Period, especially those in the Old English vernacular, and the archaeology of this period; how these different specializations can be mutually illuminating, with a particular discussion of the application of literary insights to the interpretation of Anglo-Saxon funerary archaeology.
