Abstract

This volume contains studies, from the perspective of the countries of the European Union, on the communication of religion in the media and the arts, in the context of the interface between freedom of expression and freedom of and respect for religion. The studies deal with the basic legal framework of each state as it regulates the coverage of religious matters in the press, television, radio and the arts, and the extent to which, and the ways in which, these institutions regulate themselves in religious affairs.
