Abstract

The authors present observations made with the JPL/SISEX SWIR infrared array of two luminous IRAS galaxies. The observations of NGC 6240 showed the nucleus to have different structures at 1.25, 1.65, and 2.2 μm. The observations of the NGC 3690/IC 694 system disclosed a 2.2 μm double source at the centre of NGC 3690.
