Abstract
There are many industrial tasks, occupations and leisure activities where ocular hazards occur. When the hazard cannot be controlled at source, eye protectors should be provided in order to prevent ocular injuries. Unfortunately, accidents will always happen, but the number of eye injuries can be reduced by patients wearing eye protectors for tasks and hobbies where there are clearly potential risks.
