Abstract
This paper particularly investigates the affective relationships that participants maintain online and how caring relationships are built in online contexts, with a particular focus on social media and mobile technologies. Through the analysis of these types of relationships online we explore how quotidian acts of (i)organisation (micro-organisation); (ii) online sharing and civic participation (interests, hobbies, political views, and so on), and (iii) caring interactions contribute to building a sense of being copresent through social media. Finally, we define more closely the particular kind of affective relationships that we have called caring relationships.
