Abstract

The technique for DC corona field measurement by means of a biased-current probe has been adapted to a linear geometry for use in corona discharges. Calibration of the probe requires account to be taken of the finite length of the collector. Design parameters are given, and calibration is obtained by means of analytical computation which simulates the biased probe by a system of inclined planes, and by a three dimensional charge simulation computer program
