Abstract

A new attempt to improve some of the properties of acrylic resin, by the addition of organometallic compounds, (with different metals and different organic skeletons) that contain metal ions in their chemical structure to be attached to the acrylic resin to produce a polymer including the organometallic moiety in its chain, was made . The metal in the produced polymer present as an atom (not as a filler) in its chemical structure. Some chemical and mechanical properties were evaluated in this study that demonstrated improvement the properties of the modified resin.
