Abstract
Impacted premolars are a common occurrence. This report describes how an impacted UR5, which was easily palpable and predicted to erupt spontaneously, caused extensive root resorption in the adjacent UR6. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: This case highlights the importance of a thorough assessment of the position of all impacted premolars, irrespective of whether they can be palpated or not. This is especially important when planning orthodontic extractions, where the use of up-to-date appropriate radiographs is essential.
