Abstract
While existing research extensively addresses single impairments, such as vision, speech, hearing, or motor disabilities, limited attention has been given to users with overlapping accessibility needs. This systematic literature review examines current accessibility guidelines for mobile games. It compiles current guidelines for four physical impairments as well as universal guidelines. It then applies these guidelines for systems targeting users with dual concurrent disabilities. Following the PRISMA framework, 61 relevant studies were analysed to extract guidelines applicable to five dual disability combinations: blindness and speech, blindness and dexterity, speech and hearing, speech and dexterity, and hearing and dexterity. The review shows the dominant focus on visual impairments, the lack of emphasis on user satisfaction in accessible projects, and limited adoption of emerging technologies for accessibility. Even though empirical validation remains limited, findings show that many guidelines can be adapted to support users with dual impairments, with potential contributions using emerging technologies.
