Abstract

The Human Rights Working Group of the Scientists’ Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee’s call for inputs on the implications of plastic pollution for the full enjoyment of human rights, pursuant to Human Rights Council decision 56/117. The Scientists’ Coalition for an Effective Plastics Treaty is an international network of diverse, independent scientific and technical experts on plastics and plastic pollution. We contribute summaries and interpretations of scientific knowledge to decision makers and the public involved in the negotiations towards a global agreement to end plastic pollution.
