Abstract
Purpose: Background: Non-specific neck pain (NSNP) is common and is a significant burden on individuals and society. Exercise is a behaviour and is the most recommended treatment for individuals with NSNP, yet exercise adherence (EA) is poor. Exercise-related behavior change interventions (BCIs) and their underpinning behavior change techniques (BCTs) typically improve adherence, but effective interventions are unknown in NSNP populations. Therefore, understanding what effective EA BCIs and BCTs exist, may improve exercise’s effectiveness.
