Abstract

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a leading disability cause worldwide, contributing to chronic pain and reduced independence(1). Impaired postural stability during both static and dynamic tasks is commonly observed in this population(2). Dynamic balance is often assessed with the validated and responsive Step Test (ST) in individuals with KOA(2-4). While psychometrically validated, biomechanical factors underlying ST performance in KOA populations have not been investigated, limiting the identification of targeted rehabilitation strategies.
