Abstract

We present the results of over 100 simulations of star formation in turbulent molecular cores. Moderate levels of turbulence very often form several stars and brown dwarfs. Most often a central binary star forms with two unequal components in highly elliptical orbits. Smaller objects are dynamically ejected truncating their growth and creating a high-velocity low-mass population
