Abstract

Welcome to Understanding Welsh social lives. The aim of this document is to reinforce and complement the main strands, issues and themes covered in Introducing the social sciences by providing you with information and resources that can help you to see how some of the topics discussed in the course can be examined in relation to Wales. Many of the themes explored in the course map easily on to contemporary trends and issues in Wales and we hope that you will be able to use the materials here to see how Wales both converges and diverges from the UK as a whole.
