Abstract

Despite the central importance of the Great War in modern Welsh history, there are very few academic works that trace the malign and far-reaching influence of the war on culture and society in Wales. The aim of this volume is to begin the work of righting the wrong in a work that includes contributions from a number of brilliant scholars to help us better understand how the Welsh world changed forever in the wake of the events of 1914–18, tracing developments in Welsh society and culture from pre-war times to the present.
