Abstract

A public exhibition of historical artefacts related to infant feeding, part of a cross-disciplinary project uses glass feeding bottles, tins of formula milk, breast-pumps, shawls, old advertisements and advice manuals, as well as images of Welsh mothers feeding during different historical periods, to provide a non-directive opening for reflection and conversation about the ways that babies have been fed at different times.
