Abstract
Liberalization has transformed the economy in China, but legacy policies such as the hukou system, undermine free movement of labor and embed discrimination in the labor market. Opportunities for social mobility are restricted for all migrant workers, but this article argues disabled migrants experience a form of ghettoization.
