Abstract
This is an introductory chapter to provide a systematic overview of how culture is theorised and analysed from a geographical perspective. It will involve discussions on traditional paradigms on the spatial analyses of cultures, the Berkeley School in the post-war years, cultural materialism in the 1980s and 1990s, and the many post-structuralist, feminist, post-colonial, embodied, materialist, more-than-representational, more-than-human approaches in the contemporary landscapes of the field.
