Abstract

The acoustofluidic concentration of extracellular vesicles (ACEV) technique leverages the power of dual acoustic waves, creating a single vortex stream within a droplet that serves to concentrate extracellular vesicles effectively. This state-of-the-art method, with immense potential for advancing cancer research, employs a carefully positioned thin-film circuit board on a piezoelectric substrate. These components are designed to generate the optimal acoustic field, enabling the efficient and precise concentration of these vital nanostructures, which play significant roles in cancer progression and intercellular communication. More details can be found in article number 2300390 by Xin Yang and co-workers.
