Abstract
Dame Fanny Waterman (1920-2020) was a pianist and co-founder of the Leeds International Piano Competition, internationally renowned as one of the foremost and influential piano teachers of the second half of the twentieth- and early twenty-first centuries. Authored by one of her pupils, this dictionary article outlines her career and achievements, while considering aspects of her distinctive approach to teaching.
