Abstract

This chapter explores leadership during crises and in challenging times. Within healthcare, we know effective leadership is essential for addressing the challenges sometimes presented, so learning from examples of crises and challenges is important. Areas that have emerged from the evidence are explored, including moral distress and emotional labour, along with the possibilities of positive disruptive leadership.
