Abstract
Gerwyn Jones and colleagues describe how service users were encouraged and supported by mental health staff and partner organisations to tell their personal stories about recovery from psychosis. The project culminated in a joint conference presentation This is the story of the journey involved in undertaking a first-time presentation at the 13th Network for Psychiatric Nursing Research (NPNR) conference in Oxford. It details the process of attending the conference with clients, carers and staff from Hafan Coed, an early intervention service in South Wales for young people with psychosis, to demonstrate the benefits of the service through the use of digitally-recorded personal narratives and a compilation of creative writing.
