Abstract

Radical Puritan pamphleteer. He was born nr Llangamarch in Brecknockshire and educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge, and St Alban Hall, Oxford. He came under strong Puritan influences and, regarding the established Church as insufficiently reformed, he declined ordination.
