Abstract
The Global Person Generated Index (GPGI) is an individualized measure of quality of life. Individualized measures allow participants to define what is relevant to their quality of life before rating this. This is similar to the health-specific measure SEIQoL . Quality of life here is conceptualized as the gap between the desired levels of areas of life perceived to be important and the perceived achieved levels in these areas. The GPGI considers all aspects of quality of life and is a global rather than health-specific measure.
