Abstract

A recent project between Cardiff Universities (John Morris, Elin Arfon and Dawn Knight) and Lancaster (Nouran Khallaf and Mo El-Haj) has sought to automate the creation of the Welsh thesaurus. The researchers have used existing resources as well as using speakers of the language to create the resource that could serve as a template for other minority languages.
