Abstract
COPD is a global respiratory challenge ranking third in morbidity and mortality, primarily caused by exposure to particulate matter, notably from tobacco smoke [1, 2]. The resulting inflammation and lung damage can lead to symptoms such as shortness of breath, wheezing, cough and sputum production [1].
