Abstract
This introduction outlines the aims of this book and provides an overview of the chapters that follow. The aim of this edited collection is to assemble a highly critical set of writings that promote fresh perspectives as much as interrogating established ones. It does not seek to bridge the practice/theory gap, but to continue planning’s rich tradition of borrowing ideas from elsewhere and using those ideas to shine a light back onto planning theory and set out new ways forward.
