Abstract
This study proposes a novel two-dimensional photonic crystal ring resonator for detecting dengue-induced changes in blood components such as platelets, haemoglobin, and plasma. By monitoring shifts in the central wavelength linked to refractive index variations, the structure offers highly sensitive and accurate detection. The Lorentzian peak cavity exhibits a high-quality factor, achieving sensitivity up to 1800 nm/RIU, underscoring its potential as a precise diagnostic tool against dengue.
