Abstract

This paper argues that external efforts to bring about regime change in Iran risk reanimating the very imperialist dynamics that the Islamic Republic has long exploited to justify its rule. The consequence is not merely tactical backlash, but a moral paradox: the reinforcement of an oppressive regime through the very means meant to end it.
