Abstract
As the title of this piece suggests, here I consider different perceptions of what archives “lack” and the specifics of Black archives. By “lack”, I mean who and what tends to be perceived as “lacking” archiving skills. I’m also referring to who is usually regarded as “missing” from archives. Discussing all that, I focus on the vibrance of Black life.
