Abstract
Due to the requirement of environmentally friendly application of electronic devices, colloidal quantum dots (QDs) without heavy-metal elements have gained more and more attention and study. Herein, a kind of low-toxic QDs photodiode is presented. By optimizing the surface ligands of QDs and the charge transport layers of the device, improved properties were obtained, including low dark current density, fast photoresponse speed and good performance stability in air. Furthermore, image sensing was achieved by pixels array composed of the low-toxic QDs photodiodes and amorphous silicon thin-film transistors to demonstrate the image sensing potential.
