Abstract

Content moderation in community focused online platforms such as Wikis is crucial for ensuring that activity happening therein adheres to relevant policies, especially as these platforms grow. NLP research in content moderation has typically focused on automating some part of it, with limited work focusing primarily on Wikipedia, with little to no attention paid to non English languages or non-Wikipedia platforms. In this paper, we introduce WiDe-Analysis (Wiki Deletion Analysis), a multilingual and multi-platform Python package aimed at providing “one-click” analysis to content moderation discussions in Wiki-platforms. We release all assets associated with WiDe-Analysis, including data, models and the Python package with the goal to accelerate research on automating content moderation in Wikipedia and beyond.
