Abstract

This anniversary commentary examines, firstly, the role of the Journal of Economic Geography and economic geography accounts more broadly, in the conceptual and empirical explication of the firm in the last 25 years. Secondly, the commentary identifies and explores future avenues of research that are required in the present and future as the nature of the firm changes, as well as aspects of the firm that have been neglected.
