Abstract

Mae gan ddementia ei heriau, yn enwedig o ran sut mae'n amharu ar gyfathrebu effeithiol, gan gael effaith ar bobl sy'n byw gyda dementia ac ar y rhai maen nhw'n ymwneud â nhw. Mae Alison Wray yn archwilio mecanweithiau sylfaenol cyfathrebu: sut rydyn ni'n ei ddefnyddio i gyflawni ein nodau, beth all fynd o'i le gyda dementia a sut gall ymdrechion i ddatrys problemau fynd o chwith. Dementia has its challenges, especially in terms of how it impairs effective communication, affecting people who live with dementia and those they are connected with. Alison Wray examines the basic mechanics of communication: how we use it to achieve our aims, what can go wrong with dementia and how attempts to solve problems can go awry.
