Abstract
It is an honour to introduce the fifth anniversary volume of Scroll. It has been a refreshing opportunity to reconnect with the energy, curiosity, and innovation that early career conservators bring to the field. A theme that emerged was continuity and change. Familiar challenges echoed issues I’ve encountered in my career. The change lies in the fresh perspective, optimism, and problem-solving spirit that the authors bring. For good conservation to exist, we need great advocates who can place the objectives of conservation squarely within the priorities and focus of museum staff.
